Where does my money go?
Less than 1 % goes to administration. 99% of the money goes to shelters and their staff ,doctors and medicines, animal rescue, animal rehabilitation, raids on poachers, lawyers for cases on animals. we spend nothing on publicity – even this website is run by a volunteer !
What is PFA?
People for Animals is an organisation of over 200 separate units. Its object is to : save as many animals as possible in both short term and long term ways, to establish rules and infrastructure for their protection, to change customs that harm them, to make an army that will protect them.
Is the PFA is a charity?
PFA is a charitable trust. It is one of the few in India that does such a lot of work that it has been given 35 A.C. by the Government of India – which is 100 % tax exemption for companies and 80 G for individual donations
Why should I donate to the PFA?
Because that is one of the ways you can help create infrastructure for animal protection and rescue.
What are your plans? Where is this going?
More shelters, more ambulances, more rules, more training for volunteers, more campaigns to stop things like animal sacrifices, more puppy adoption centres, more sterilization of dogs, more protection to people who are attacked by their neighbours for looking after animals, more awareness of the laws, more cases against criminals.
What kind of support you give?
Whatever is needed: money, material, people, interventions by Mrs Maneka Gandhi to the authorities
How is the PFA run?
Each PFA is run differently. Its job is to get ambulances and shelters to begin with , to catch poachers and criminals who overload trucks for slaughter, to make members and teach them the laws, to open kindness clubs in schools.

How much money are you hoping to raise?
I am hoping that we can make each shelter self sufficient with its own complete infrastructure , ambulances and enough money to pay for maintenance, good doctors and staff. Each shelter, to be able to run well, requires a minimum of 300,000 Indian Rupee a month.

Where can I learn more about your recent activities?
Everyday we put the activities of separate PFAs on the Net. Apart from that , the name and number of each working PFA unit is given . You can call and correspond with them to find out what they do.
How do I donate?
You can donate through site checks /cash. If you live in America you can send checks to People For Animals Inc, P. O. Box 178 ,Waukee IA 50263 and claim your contribution as a deduction on your tax return. PFA is registered with the IRS under section 501(c)(3) and contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Are my donations tax-deductible?

If I make a donation, how do I get my tax receipt?
We will send certificate by mail to your postal address.
Can I give you a targeted or restricted donation to be used for something very specific?
Yes, We welcome if you want to give donations to any PFA Unit or PFA Hospitals in India.
Why is there a minimum donation?
There is no minimum donation but it is a waste of time to send Rs 10 or some such meaningless sum. It would be much better if you spend the money locally on an animal.
What can I do to help you spread the word?
Make a group of volunteers in your area. We will send you the legal knowledge and the parameters of what is to be done. If you need help in any animal rescue, we are a phone call away. If you want to concentrate on fundraising , think of small and steady ways to collect and send money monthly to a hospital of your choice. If you have hospital machinery, cleaning equipment, blankets, food , bricks, cement, then send them to the shelter. Whatever they cost will also count as a donation.
