On 16th April 2008 People for Animals rescued 120 birds and ducks from Nizamuddin in South Delhi . The birds were stuffed in tiny cages and found to be in dehydrated condition . They were sent to the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre, Raja Garden in Delhi. The shop owner, Taufees Khan, has been arrested and detained under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.in PS Hazrat Nizamuddin .
