Radiographs-12, Blood report-10, Amputation on dog-2, Regular tratments like POP was applied on fractured dog, six case of maggot wound in dogs, dog brought for delivery, calf bloat treatment, blood examinations-18. Current population of animals at PFA is 234.

Four snakes rescued and released. Two common trinket and two spectacled cobra.

PFA Mysore - Constructing Shelter For Animals

albums_pfa-mysorePFA Mysore is building IST hospital/shelter. They have finished the clinic which has OPD, Operation theater, Lab which has blood analyzer, X-ray, Scanner and Digital microscope. They have also finished the recovery section and bathing grooming for the dogs and animals. Next on agenda is to build dogs area and cattery. They have planted more than 75 to 80 saplings which will grow into shade giving trees. Got three to four vets and 5 para vets with ambulance service and xray and lab technicians. They have  75 dogs seven to eight horses and few cattle and birds and cat, donkey and a monkey. We will soon be building aviary. Monkey enclosures and cattery and also dog holding area and quarantine area and water body.

  1. Calf saved from a slaughterhouse and accident hit horse.
  2. Dog who had his head stuck in a plastic bottle for weeks.
  3. Gowri the calf hit in an accident and then sold to the butcher. Rescued from the slaughterhouse.
  4. Paralysed through a road accident, she was full of bedsore. She now has a waterbed an a wheelcart.
  5. Rooms being built at the Mysore shelter.
 

Horse camp and Horse accident case treated By PFA Mysore

On 7th August 2010 a A young horse was hit by a wagon-R on Saturday morning. People for Animals Mysore got a call and sent its veterinarian and helpers to treat the animal on the spot. Animal was given RI fluids and transported to PFA shelter where it was treated with painkillers , Antibiotics and infra red rays .Oats, green grass were given. Now it is recuperating at the shelter.

Free Medical camp for Jutka Horses near Palace on Sunday 8-8-2010.

Free health camp for jutka horses was organized by People for Animals (PFA) in collaboration with Mysore City Corporation on Sunday 8th  August. About twenty seven Jutka horse cases were treated on the spot for various ailments like anorexia, fever, lameness, indigestion, wound, and Arthritis.

Horses were also treated for Colic and horse bite. They were treated with Antibiotic, deworming tablets and Analgesic free of cost.

Supplements of mineral mixture and Probiotics were freely distributed among Jutka owners for their horses. Follow up camp would be conducted in the near future (Free medicines were Sponsored by PFA Mysore and MCC. Horses were treated by PFA and Sarvodaya Veterinarians
 

Kodagahalli Village Mysore

PFA Mysore PFA MysorePFA Mysore led by Savitha Nagabhushan and the animal husbandry department held a rural camp for poor farmers in  village Kodagahalli 30 kms from Mysore . 335 animals were treated 145 large and 190 small animals for various ailments and vaccinated for foot and mouth and de- wormed,treated for skin problems .
