ACTIVITY REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF JULY, 2012

Treatment of stray injured animals:

  • On 2.7.12, at – Sanabazar, Jagatsinghpur, a bull calf backbone was injured, inj. Melonex 6ml., Neuroxin 5ml., Oxytetracycline 6ml. given.

  • On 5.7.12, at – Rahama, Paradeep road, Jagatsinghpur, a calf met an accident, severely injured, dressed the wound with Betadine lotion, inj.melonex5ml., antibiotics moxel 500mg.given.

  • On 7.7.12, at - Sanabazar, Jagatsinghpur,a bull calf's leg injured by an accident, taken to OUAT, Bhubaneswar, Thomaspin given, painkiller and antibiotics given.

  • On 11.7.12, At - Salijanga, Redhua, Jagatsinghpur, A cat leg was injured & swollen, inj. Melonex 2ml., taxim 250mg. and dressed the wound.

  • On 20.7.12, at - Kathuakhanda, Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur, A calf was injured by an accident, develop into maggot wound, dress the wound with Betadine lotion and oil turpentine lotion, Inj. Melonex & Moxel given.

  • On 28.7.12, At- Kalarabanka, Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur, a bull met an accident, severely injured, dress the wound with Betadine lotion, inj.Melonex 10 ml., Dicrystacine 20lac given for 5 days.

Rescue of illegal transported cattle:

  • On 23.7.12, At- Phulanakhara, Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, NH-5, Our member with Bajaranga activist ceased 3 nos. of cattle loaded trucks (OR11 C 6891, OR09 G 7365, OR22 D 5594) coming from Begunia, Khordha cattle market, Informed the Cuttack Sadar police, handed over the captured driver and helper,120 nos. of cattle are rescued from the trucks, sheltered them at Arnapuna Gosala, jagatpur ,Cuttack.

  • On 28.7.12, From begonia cattle market road our member with PFA student wing activist rescue 6 nos. of cattle from a Tata ace truck (OR 02 BB 4816) handed over them to begonia police, the rescued animals are sheltered at PFA hospital , Bhubaneswar.

Workshop attained:

  • From 12.7.12 to 14.7.12, At- Swasti premium hotel, Bhubaneswar, attained meeting on Sub –Regional workshop on "Community resilience to climate change in the Bay of Bengal." The workshop organized by RCDC & Utkal university, Bhubaneswar, Sponsored by Concerned worldwide, UNDP, Practical Action, ORSAC, Tro-caire, CANSA, OSDMA, Red-cross, LDF & LEAD India.

Training given:
  • On 25.7.12 At- Sainik school, Bhubaneswar, We arrange a training programmed on animal welfare awareness, first aid treatment, animal rescue, laws of animal cruelty to Sainik school students.
